Dolce&Gabbana has created the stage wardrobe for Kylie Minogue’s “Les Folies Tour” which, following the success of the singer’s latest album “Aphrodite”, will start on February 19th with a concert in Denmark, only to continue touching the most important cities in the World, from London to Milan, from Berlin to Barcelona, up to Tokyo, Las Vegas, San Francisco and South America.
“Kylie has always been our “Piccola Principessa” (Little Princess), not just because of our work together but more so because of our friendship! Working with Kylie has always been very spontaneous and easy. We are given free reign to create because she trusts that we know exactly what she likes. This will be our third tour with Kylie and this time we have revisited iconic Dolce&Gabbana pieces, adapting them to different themes of the tour. This show definitely cannot be missed!”
Domenico Dolce e Stefano Gabbana
A golden corset, whose proportions and fabric have been studied to allow the best possible freedom of movement to execute the various choreographies, is the basic garment on which all the various looks, differentiating the diverse moments of the show, have been built upon.
The designers re-interpreted for Kylie’s tour some of the maison’s most iconic pieces in order to transform the concert into a unique, collective happening of music, dance and fashion.
Milan, January 2011
“Kylie has always been our “Piccola Principessa”, we are very good friends!
